Should I repair or replace my system?
Consider the diagnosis, repair cost, age and condition of the equipment, comfort, service history, and replacement scope. There is no universal age or price rule that answers the question for every home.
How do I know which size system I need?
Home size alone is not enough. A heating and cooling load assessment considers the building, insulation, windows, and other conditions. Ductwork and airflow also need to support the equipment.
What should be in a replacement proposal?
Exact models, compatible components and controls, installation work, exclusions, duct or electrical changes, and written warranty terms. Ask for an AHRI certificate for the proposed matched system where applicable.
How often should I change my filter?
Follow the filter and equipment manufacturer’s guidance and check its condition regularly. The right interval depends on the filter, usage, and conditions in your home.
Is my online request a booked appointment?
No. HYPE needs to confirm the request, availability, and appointment details with you. Call for time-sensitive needs.
Does a higher efficiency rating guarantee lower bills?
No. Ratings describe test performance. Actual energy use also depends on system matching, installation, weather, utility rates, settings, and your home.
